Golf Spine Angle

Maintaining a solid spine angle is key to making a good rotation and repeatable swing. The fault of many golfers is that we move our body up or down during the course of the swing, thus adjusting our spine angle.

To work on maintaining a solid spine angle, take two Tour Sticks and stand one in the ground directly behind you and lay the other on the ground parallel to the target line. When addressing the ball, you should do so that you can feel the Tour Stick directly behind and brushing up against you. You should also be able to feel the stick throughout the duration of your backswing and downswing. If you move away from the stick, you are adjusting your spine angle.
